Super Excited With My New Series.

Rambling On… 7 February 2020.

I’m so sorry I didn’t get a newsletter out to you all last week.

Hubby and I have been crazy busy with his new business and to be honest, there just doesn’t seem to be enough hours in the day.

Yes, I’m helping him out wherever possible as well as doing my own work and keeping the house.

By the time nine o’clock comes around, we’re both exhausted. We’re going to bed around ten and getting up around five to start all over again.

Though we know the current pace won’t last forever, we’re hoping things slow down a little sometime soon. However, I don’t think that’s going to happen. My man is going flat out and has work booked in until the end of March. Customers are also still trickling in from the forty quotes my man did in the first two weeks of starting his business, as well as doing new quotes every week.

Hubby has also just brought my nephew on board to work alongside him and help him out. He’s been a godsend and they’re getting through the booked jobs much faster than if my man was working solo.

We’re both more than grateful and since my nephew was out of work, he is too. It’s a win-win all around.

Last weekend my daughter came down for my mother’s birthday. We had a great night out and it was wonderful to catch up with my girl.

Unfortunately, she ended up sick after eating out.

However, this time it wasn’t because she was served contaminated food.

There was a big group of us, and we all shared large dishes of jasmine coconut rice to go without Thai food. I forgot to stipulate to everyone to be careful about using the correct serving utensils when serving themselves rice and someone tainted it with a sauce that wasn’t gluten free.

Thankfully, my daughter didn’t get much and wasn’t very sick, but she did feel ill for quite a few hours.

We live and learn.

Next time I’ll make sure to get everyone’s attention and ask them to use the correct serving spoons.

My mum enjoyed the night having most of the family together for her 75th birthday.

As you’ve probably worked out from my ramblings, other than work, work, and more work, there hasn’t been much going on in our lives.

I’m hoping to ramble about something different next week, but it will depend on what the new week brings.

Stay safe, healthy and happy.

Love Becca Van xxoo.

What Have I Been Reading?

I’ve just finished reading book 1 in the two-book box set Mustang River (Books 1-2) by Bev Pettersen.

This was a great read with lots of action and romance. If you love cowboys and soldiers, then this book is for you. I was engrossed from the first page to the last and can’t wait to read the second story.

I will leave it there for now.
Enjoy your week ahead, until next week.

Love,

Becca Van XXOO
