Merry Christmas And A Happy New Year 2020

Rambling On… 20 December 2019

I was totally exhausted by the time I’d written the last word in my latest manuscript, but it was and will be worth all the hard work since other than editing I have the rest of the month off.

I did something I haven’t done since I was a kid, and had a jammies day. I stayed in my PJ’s until just after lunch and sat and watched a Christmas movie. I’m normally not that into TV but I have to say it did me good to have a complete break and just switch my mind and body off.

I’ve even braved the shops to get a few things on my food item list for Christmas Day. In fact, I have almost everything except I will need more fresh fruit and veg. I’ll start prepping things the day before by making jelly (Jell-O—What you call jelly in North America we call jam), a gluten free cake for the trifle and the gluten free flourless mud cake.

My family isn’t a huge fan of Christmas pudding. I’m the only one who likes it, so I usually don’t bother making one.

My hubby is knackered, (exhausted), too. He’s been getting up at five each morning and driving two hours to work before taking two to three hours (traffic mayhem) to get back home. Today the poor love had to start even earlier since it’s a scorcher of a day. The mercury is expected to reach a very hot 43 degrees C or 109 F. I was happy to see him home just after lunch and he didn’t have to work outside any longer in the blistering heat. Because of the much earlier start, the work was completed and he gets the afternoon to relax and maybe even take a nap. He certainly looks as if he needs one.

This is the last newsletter for the year.

I want to thank each and every one of you for your support throughout 2019. You’re all so awesome and warm my heart.

I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Stay safe, happy and healthy.

Love

What Have I Been Reading?

I’ve not long completed reading The Lost One, (Lost Series Book 1) by Liz Lovelock and I loved it. The ending was a surprise and hooked me to buy the next in the series.

While this was an M/F romance, it was spicy, and the plot kept me interested and wanting to turn the next page. This is the first book I’ve bought of this author’s work and I will be investigating the rest.

I will leave it there for now.
Enjoy your week ahead, until next week.

Love,

Becca Van XXOO
