Catching The Last Of The Good Weather
Rambling On… 13 May 2022.
Mother’s Day has been and gone.
Happy Mother’s Day to all the mums out there. I hope you were all spoiled and enjoyed your day with your families.
Hubby and I were actually travelling back home after a few days camping on Mother’s Day. We took the opportunity for the impromptu trip since there was another shortage of materials and he had to delay his next fencing job.
We headed north and found a great spot near Yarrawonga, Victoria, and were lucky enough to have great weather. Back home was cold and wet and although we had one day where it was chilly, the sun was shining, the birds were singing, and it was great to relax in the tranquillity of nature.
We saw some kangaroos at the campground from afar and even took a couple of photos. Unfortunately, we couldn’t get any close ups.
When we got home on Sunday afternoon, we were delightfully surprised to find my daughter was at home. She was in the kitchen cooking up roast lamb with veggies. Dinner was delicious and what was even better was that my son and his girl cleaned up. I didn’t have to do anything. There was even cake for dessert and while I’m not a sweet tooth I had a piece of the flourless pear and apple cake. Yum.
I hope you all have a fantastic weekend.
Stay safe, sane, happy, and healthy.
