?Happy Easter?

Rambling On… 10th April 2020.

Happy Good Friday and Happy Easter.

I know in these trying times it’s difficult not to have all your family around like we normally would. I too won’t be seeing my daughter this Easter other than a video call. I miss her heaps, but I also think it’s very important to keep our distance. If, which I am lucky enough not to be, was infected with the Corona Virus, the last thing I’d want to do is pass it onto my loved ones. I’d rather miss seeing my daughter and the rest of my family than being the cause of them getting ill and possibly dying.

I’ve found it a little difficult to work this work even though I have. With my son home and at a loose end, his fiancée too, only working four hours a day remotely on a computer in the spare room, there are way more interruptions and distractions.

I DO NOT begrudge them being home because I know that they’re safe. However, as I said, there are more disruptions than I’m used to.

My man is going great guns in his business. He’s booked out until the first week in May and is still quoting with more work potentially coming in.

When he gets home, I make him wash then disinfect his hands, shower, and change so that I can give him a hug. We’re all taking the threat to our health very seriously.

I’m astounded that some people aren’t. There have been fines handed out by the police and let me tell you the fines aren’t pittances. An individual found breaching the provincial distancing and social laws, can and have been fined just over $1600. A company or business $10,000. Yet people are still flouting these laws. I don’t understand how they can be so complacent, so blasé when the world news in rife with people getting sick and dying.

Maybe they think they’re invincible. Who knows?

I’m thinking about doing some baking over the Easter Break, what I don’t know as yet. I also need to clean my oven, so that will be the first on the agenda.

As you can probably tell by my rambling, I haven’t done anything to really talk about since I’m housebound, just like everyone else.

Wishing you all a happy Easter.

Stay safe, sane, happy and most importantly of all, healthy.

Other than names I’m not going to give anything else away, but I hope you all enjoy reading this book once I’m done and if and when Siren BookStrand deem it worthy enough to publish.

What Have I Been Reading?

I’ve just finished reading Christine Feehan’s, Dark Gold, book 3 in the Dark Series.

I really enjoy this series and this book captured from the first word to the last even though I’ve read it before. Reading about Alexandria’s struggles to accept her new world and how Aiden deals with all the trials and tribulations had me enthralled.

If you haven’t read any of Ms. Feehan’s books I would highly recommend her work. I also love her Ghost Walker series.

I will leave it there for now.
Enjoy your week ahead, until next week.

Love,

Becca Van XXOO
