With Love To All The Mums 💞 💐

Rambling On… 7 May 2021.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers out there.

To all the mothers out there lap up the attention, put your feet up and take a break. You all deserve it.

In my eyes, a mother, a woman, a partner, is the nuclei of the family, the glue that holds everyone together.

She’s the nurturer, the lover and partner, the housekeeper, the cook, the laundress, the babysitter, the cleaner and she also goes out to work or works from home.

A mother is a lot of things.

She’s the heart and soul of a family.

I’m lucky as my daughter will be coming for a visit tomorrow. My son’s girl will be coming tonight. I have no idea if any plans have been made but even if they haven’t, I’m going to enjoy spending time with my family and having a bit of fun.

In the last newsletter, I told you we had a bit of a rodent plague going on here. #Shudder#

I think they’ve finally been dealt with. My man had bait up in the roof to deal with the problem and when he went up to investigate a couple of days ago, it was all gone. Thank goodness.

I haven’t heard any mice or rats running along the ceiling for a couple of days. Hallelujah. I hate rodents. #gag#. They’re dirty in my mind but thankfully they didn’t get into the house.

My hubby put new bait up in the roof just in case we get more, but hopefully, we won’t.

I’m looking forward to spending time with my kids over the Mother’s Day weekend.

What Have I Been Writing?

I’ve started writing Slick Rock 34. Miracle Whitten has met her match in Maverick, Rayden and Fenton Franklin, Ranch owners who have a protective streak a mile wide.

And right now, she needs all the protection she can get. Though I’ve barely begun writing their story, it’s beginning to flow more as I get to know my characters.

I can’t wait to see how the three men and Miracle interact as the learn about each other.

What Have I Been Reading?

Last night I finished reading Grace Goodwin’s Cyborg Fever (Interstellar Brides: The Colony Book 5).

This Sci-Fi romance hooked me from the start until the end. Reading about Atlan beast, Warlord Anghar and his mate, the danger they faced from the Hive have me on the edge of my seat.

There was action, danger, and lots of steamy romance. This was a good book, and I would recommend it to anyone who loves ready about strong, sexy aliens.

I will leave it there for now.
