What Are You Doing To Stay Sane In Lockdown?
Rambling On… 21 August 2020.
So, I haven’t seen my girl other than over video chat as she is in stage 4 lockdown and not allowed to go anywhere other than the supermarket or to see a medical professional. I miss her heaps. She’s been struggling being locked up in the house every now and then like the rest of us, but she’s also found things to do to keep herself occupied.
She’s started making miniature terrariums in jars with moss and pebbles and small plants. She’s showed them to me, and I have to say they look great. Just like everyone else, I can’t wait until all this crap is over and we can all get back to normal, but I don’t think that is going to happen until next year sometime.
My son has chosen a real estate agent and things are in motion for his home to be put on the market. The pictures have been taken and it’s just the paperwork that needs to be finalised and then the house will be up for sale.
I’m feeling a little stir crazy myself as I’m sure everyone else is not being able to get away from the same four walls, but thankfully, we’re lucky enough to have a pergola and a back yard we can utilise to get some sunshine, vitamin D and some fresh air even if it’s on the cool side since we’re nearing the end of winter.
I so want to go camping and have a few days off and away from home.
Regional Victoria is in stage 3 lockdown as the second wave of Covid-19 started making it’s rounds about 5-6 weeks ago. We’ve all been told by the government to stay home and we’re not allowed out unless for work—essential services only—care giving, or food shopping, with no exceptions.
Exercise is permitted for 1 hour a day. No visitors are allowed, etc.
I’m hoping the restrictions ease as we head into spring and the warmer months. If that happens then maybe hubby and I will get to go away in October. We didn’t end up having any time out at the end of July because restrictions were put back into place and we wanted to help my son with his landscaping.
Everything’s finished now so maybe…
I hope you are all well.
Stay safe, happy, sane, and healthy,
Love Becca Van xxoo.
What Have I Been Writing?
I’m working on Pack Law 11: Hungry Wolves. Thanks to Janice and Carol who both asked if Cindy would get her story within a couple of days of each other, I’m finally writing it.
Tyrone, Coby, and Derik Daniels are enamoured with Cindy as soon as they see her since the three men realize she’s their mate. I’ve really liked working on this book so far even though I haven’t finished it and hope you all do too.
I forgot to tell you in the last newsletter that Siren BookStrand has agreed to publish Beautifully Imperfect 5: Loving Mercedes. Thank you, Siren.
I also have a couple of books in mind that I want to write after Cindy’s but I’m not sure which one I’m going to choose. They’re both from different series but I’ll have to see which characters whirling around in my head grab hold of my interest first, but that’s for next month.
Beautifully Imperfect 3:
No Shrinking Violet
Available now on platforms like Amazon and Kobo.
Released July 23.
Beautifully Imperfect 4:
Shaky Ground

Release Date August 10
What Have I Been Reading?
I’ve been getting through the Transfusion series by Stephanie Hudson and have just started reading Tree of Souls: Vampire paranormal romance (Transfusion Saga Book). So far, I am loving this series.
There is humour which is making me laugh out loud and waking my hubby up. Since he’s so tired from working so hard, he’s falling asleep practically as soon as his head hits the pillow. There is a lot of action and there is also emotional conflict. All of this has you sitting on the edge of your seat eager for the next chapter and the next book.
There are actually 8 books in this series, and I have no idea if the saga will be complete at the end of the 8th book, but I can tell you I will be reading them all.
I will leave it there for now.
Enjoy your week ahead, until next week.
Love,
Becca Van XXOO
