Taking A Break And Getting Away.
Rambling On… 28 February 2020.
My daughter is coming home tomorrow. She’s taken two weeks off to go on a holiday with her man and though she has some camping stuff of her own, she doesn’t have it all.
We’re swapping cars. The Mazda BT50 is set up for when hubby and I want to go away, with drawers in the canopied tub which always has plates, cookware and other stuff in it we never take out of the vehicle. She’s taking my car and leaving me hers so that she and her partner can get away for a while.
Last weekend hubby and I took off from home on Friday around 2:00 p.m. in the afternoon and drove for around four hours north to warmer weather. We were about fifteen to twenty km or minutes drive outside the town of Yarrawonga and set up camp on the edge of the Murray River.
We had a few glitches this time, but we managed to laugh about them. We were in such a hurry to get away, we forgot to pack the battery-operated air mattress blower. We were lucky though because there was a group of men camping at the far end away from us that had an air mattress inflator, we were able to borrow.
Thanks guys, you really saved my back and hips.
The weather was absolutely perfect.
We had an average of around 33C, around 92F which was great swimming temperatures. We were in and out of the Murray River to cool off in between talking and relaxing. There was a lot of wildlife, including the cockatoos, galahs and umpteen other birds. There were also kangaroos and though we didn’t see them since they’re nocturnal, there were also possums we heard growling throughout the night.
It was really, really hard to come back home after having time out, but we never shirk our responsibilities.
While we really loved getting away and enjoyed every minute, our time out just didn’t seem long enough, but them-s the breaks.
I found it a bit difficult to get back into the swing of things after being away, but I’m sure it will feel as if I haven’t had a break soon enough.
Stay safe, healthy and happy.

What Have I Been Reading?
I’ve almost completed reading Nicole French’s, Legally Yours (Spitfire Book 1).
While this isn’t a ménage story, I have to say what I’ve read so far, I’ve really enjoyed.
If you’re into billionaire contemporary romances, then this is a good story. Reading about Brandon Sterling, his issues and the love of his life had me engaged from the first sentence to the last.
I will leave it there for now.
Enjoy your week ahead, until next week.
Love,
