State Of Play In The Van House This Easter š°š„
Rambling On… 2 April 2021.

Iām writing this newsletter a day early. Itās Thursday but since tomorrow is Good Friday and weāre heading into Easter, I ummed and ahhed about whether to do the newsletter. Obviously, I decided to do it. Lol.
Hubby and I are heading to South Australia for the long weekend to see his elderly parents. He saw them just after Christmas, but I stayed home since I had my daughter staying here.
Unfortunately, things didnāt work out for her at the new job. She was let go before her three-month probationary period was up and now, sheās back home with her partner. All her other work colleagues were angry, said she was a wonderful person, had a great, hard-working ethic, was good at her job, and didnāt want her to go. However, it was the ownerās decision and their opinion didnāt matter.
The shop she worked for was small and there were already three other guys working there. There were only two car hoists inside and what was consider half of one outside since it didnāt ascend very high. If a car was on the hoist and waiting on parts to be ordered, work on a vehicle was delayed until they arrived. That meant there was always someone floating. If my daughter was floating, sheād work on machining brake discs. She also thinks that the owner didnāt think about the cost of having an extra person on the books before hiring her.
Thankfully, she walked straight into another job in Melbourne, on the Monday following the Friday she finished up. She was incredibly sad, as were we all. She wanted to move closer to us and the town she was born in, but things didnāt pan out.
Maybe one day soon, sheāllĀ find something closer to home and wonāt have any trouble finding a house to rent.
My son has just figured out heās lactose intolerant and is now on soy milk. I have a feeling that lactose isnāt his only issue. I suggested that maybe heās FODMAP like I am, but he just grins and denies it.
He and I have been tested for coeliac disease and came back negative but that was years ago. Things change as we get older, and we can become more sensitive and intolerant to foods weāve eaten for years.
I love corn but canāt eat it. I used to cook with garlic and onion in everything but if I eat it now, I get sick.
Anyway, Iām just rambling as usual since all Iāve done is work and house chores this week.
I hope you all have a very Happy Easter.
Stay safe, sane, happy, and healthy.

Iāve started a new paranormal shifter series. These shifters are like none youāve ever heard of before and though Iād like to tell you a bit about them, Iām not going to. I donāt want this exciting secret getting out.
Yes, Iām excited and if and when Siren agree to publish the first book, I hope youāre all excited and enjoy reading about my made-up shapeshifters.

What Have I Been Reading?
Iām just over the halfway mark readingĀ Becca Jamesonās, Layover (Open Skies Book 1)Ā and itās hot, hot, hot.
If you like a contemporary romance with a military guy and a mix of BDSM thrown in, then check this book out. So far, itās great and if I didnāt have to sleep and work, I wouldāve finished it already.
I will leave it there for now.
Enjoy your week ahead, until next week.
