My TBR Is Out Of Control – I’m Out Of Order 😳
Rambling On… 25 June 2021.
Sorry about the lack of a newsletter last week. My husband was wrecked after a long week and was too tired to do his internet magic.
Hubby and I had our flu shots this morning and thankfully neither of us have experienced any side effects. Not like we did with the Covid one.
We both want to be covered because we have some great plans in the works and neither of us wants to get sick.
I need to get my book for July completed early as my man and I want to take five weeks off. Yes, you read right. Five weeks. Of course, our time out also depends on the Covid-19 pandemic and the spread of the virus.
We’re keeping our fingers crossed and hope that if there are contaminated clusters, they don’t reach us.
Even though we’ve taken time off over long weekends when possible and had short holidays, we’ve both always worked hard before and after to meet deadlines and/or to complete jobs. I’ve even worked while away camping, doing edits or writing when inspired so I’m not behind.
However, this time is different, we’re both taking a total break.
We have plans to travel from way down south in Victoria all the way up to Darwin in the Northern Territory. Unless we get put into lockdown again before we can leave.
We’ll be driving and stopping to take in the sights and doing the touristy thing. We visited Uluru five years ago which was great, but I ended up with the flu and was sick most of the three weeks were on vacation, and though I would love to see it again, we’re bypassing Ayer’s Rock this time.
Our country is so vast, so big and there is so much we haven’t seen.
It will be nice to escape the cold of winter and head to the tropics for some warmth.
My son will of course still be home to look after the house. He and his girl are taking a week off work while we’re away so they can spend some quality alone time together without the old’s hanging around. It’ll do us all good to get away from each other.
We’re planning on leaving around the third week of July and won’t return till late August.
I’m still going to try and do a newsletter, tell you all what we’ve seen and doing with photos included, but it’s also going to depend on mobile phone reception on whether we can publish the letters.
I hope you all have a fantastic week.
Stay safe, sane, happy and healthy.

What Have I Been Writing?
I’ve just finished writing Alaskan Wildlands 4: Written in the Stars.
I’ve submitted the book to Siren BookStrand for possible publication. I’m keeping my fingers crossed and hoped my publisher wants to publish my book.
I’ve also just started writing Alaskan Wildlands 5 and the reason should be clear from earlier in the newsletter.

What Have I Been Reading?
I read Christine Feehan’s Toxic Game, (GhostWalker Novel 15) which I hadn’t read before, and realized I was missing a few of the earlier books from the series. So, I checked my TBR pile and sure enough, I had them but had read the stories out of sequence. I’m currently reading Viper Game (GhostWalker Novel, 11).
Book 15 was really good and though I’m only halfway through book 11, I’m loving reading about Wyatt, Pepper, and their viper babies.
I can’t wait until I’ve finished work and my other chores for the day so I can sit down, put my feet up and pick up where I left off.
While I wished I could finish reading the rest of the story tonight, Friday, I know I won’t be able to keep my eyes open long enough to do so. Sigh. There’s always tomorrow night.
I will leave it there for now.
Enjoy your week ahead, until next week.
Love,
Becca Van XXOO
