Merry Christmas and F@#k Off 2020…
Rambling On… 18 December 2020.
This will be the last newsletter for the year. I want to thank you all for your support and loyalty. Without you all I wouldn’t be able to do what I love doing so much. Writing is a dream come true and is a passion I will always have and continue doing so thank you all again. So much has happened this year and is still happening but and although we probably wish we could wipe the year 2020 from our lives and our minds, maybe it was to be so we could all see and realize what’s really important in life. We take so much for granted until it’s taken away from us. The freedom to socialize, to visit and hug our family members, friends and loved ones was taken away from us for months on end, for everyone’s protection. It’s been hell on us all, but there is light at the end of the tunnel so don’t give up. While I wish the pandemic never happened just like everyone else and hope that the vaccines the amazing scientists are doing their best to find a way to innoculate most of us from the dreaded virus, not being able to see and hug my daughter for over six months or visit my sister and her family made me appreciate my loved ones even more. I know you all are still going through the pandemic. My heart goes out to you. We thought most of the virus had been eradicated from Victoria. But now that Australians who’ve been stuck overseas during the pandemic are being allowed back into the country and placed in mandatory quarantine for 2 weeks, there have been more Covid-19 cases. However, these people are being isolated and let’s hope the spread is contained. We really don’t want or need a third wave. So many people have died. Way too many and it breaks my heart that there are people out there that won’t ever have another Christmas with a deceased loved one or any other special day. The restrictions were hard, but they were worth it in the long run. This makes me thankful every single day that I still have my family around me and will be able to spend Christmas with them. God bless you all. Have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Stay safe, happy, sane, and healthy. Love Becca Van xxoo. |
What Have I Been Writing?
I’m still writing Slick Rock 31. Bliss Lake, Sarg, Galen and Niko Hanson have had a few issues to deal with so far dealing with the elements, nature, and a few other things. But of course they will get through safe and sound otherwise there wouldn’t be a happily ever after.
I thought I had a good title, but after thinking about it, I think I need to tweak it a little.

What Have I Been Reading?
I’ve just finished reading the first instalment in Enigma from The Complete Collection Four book boxed set (The Collectables 1), by Shandi Boyden.
I purchased this book for free and while I was pulled into the story quickly, I’m finding it a bit hard to connect with the heroine.
This book isn’t bad, but for a rookie FBI agent I feel she isn’t bad ass enough. She comes across as a bit weak, quick to tear up and some other things I can’t quite see a tough FBI agent being.
This is just my opinion and again the storyline it good, but there is just something lacking with the heroine so far.
I will leave it there for now.
Enjoy your week ahead, until next week.
Love,
Becca Van XXOO
