Looking For The Win.
Rambling On… 4th September 2020.
On the home front.
The local (Victoria) spread of the second wave of the Covid-19 virus is slowing down and we’re all hoping that the restrictions in place will be loosened. Maybe on the 13th of September we’ll be able to visit friends and family again, but I’m not holding my breath.
I’m missing my girl big time and feel for her because she and her partner have been in lock down for almost two months if not more.
I really hope that we’ll be able to get together again if the current restrictions are eased soon. Though we’ve been keeping in contact through video chat, it’s not the same as seeing someone face to face, being able to give them a hug and tell them you love them. I’m sure you’re all feeling the same frustrations over this dreaded superbug.
If we’re allowed, after getting together, I think hubby and I are going to try and get away for a much-needed break over a long weekend, we create for ourselves.
I can’t wait to get out in the great outdoors to relax and commune with nature and just breathe. It’ll be wonderful not to be trapped within the same four walls for weeks on end.
Last weekend I did do the baking and cooking I said I was going to. The apple pie didn’t last as long as I expected to, but it usually doesn’t, especially where my hubby is concerned. The savoury muffins were delicious and a great accompaniment to a pot of soup I also made.
My son applied for an IT job on Wednesday and to our great delight will be starting as a casual employee for a probationary period of 3 months. After that, if everything goes well, he will be employed full time and will be able to resign from his position at the club he was working for.
We’re not sure when he’ll be starting yet as he’s waiting for all the paperwork to be sent to him via email.
Let’s hope he doesn’t have to wait too long. I’m thinking his first day may be on Monday, but who knows.
Stay safe, sane, healthy, and happy.

I’ve just started writing Beautifully Imperfect 6. Though I’d like to tell you a bit about how this story came about, I’m not going to. The reason being that number 5 hasn’t been released yet.
Maybe after Beautifully Imperfect 5: Loving Mercedes has been released for sale which is due to happen the 18th of September, I’ll tell you all. However, right now I’ve just begun this story and don’t want to give anything away.

Beautifully Imperfect 4:

What Have I Been Reading?
I’ve actually read a few books since last weeks newsletter. I’ve completed four books of the series from Christina Ross’ Annihilate Me.
This is an on going saga about the same characters and is fantastic. I haven’t read any other of Ms. Ross’ books but since I enjoyed these books so much, I will be investigating further.
Last night I finished reading Susan Stoker’s Shielding Kinley (Delta Team Two Book 2). As always Ms. Stoker delivered, and I had trouble putting my Kindle down so I could sleep.
I will leave it there for now.
Enjoy your week ahead, until next week.
Love,
Becca Van XXOO
