Long Weekend Break – Hope For Sanity.
Rambling On… 12 June 2020.
Other than work, work and you guessed it, more work, not much.
My daughter is still currently unemployed since the buy-out of the company she was working for is still being negotiated. Unfortunately, my man hasn’t been able to bring her on to help him the last couple of weeks since there has only been enough work for him.
My son is still having mood swings as he grieves and though I try to help, I know only time will ease the pain he’s feeling. Yeah, I know how cliché that sounds and I feel so useless but other than being there for him to love and hold him and to let him talk when he wants to, there is nothing else my man and I can do. He’s getting there though.
On a brighter note, Monday just gone was Queens Birthday holiday here in Victoria, Australia and since I’d been stuck in the house all week as well as the weekend, I was getting a bad case of cabin fever.
Hubby and I packed the car with coffee water and other essentials and took of for most of the day. We headed southwest toward the Otway’s, which is where the Great Ocean Road leads, but we took the inland route into the rain forest.
We ended up at Dando’s Campground, had a picnic lunch and just sat and talked to reconnect. I was surprised to find the free campground had quite a few family’s set up there in tents and camper trailers, but I shouldn’t have been. Even though it was cold, not snow and ice cold, since the restrictions are slowly being lifted and some camping is allowed, people are making the most of a bit of freedom.
It was wonderful to watch the kookaburra’s foraging amongst the fallen leaves for insects, to smell the freshness of damp earth, eucalypt trees, and to hear the babbling of a small brook as water gurgled over rocks.
I hope you are all well and have found ways to keep your sanity while in lockdown.
Stay safe, happy, sane, and healthy.

I’m really sorry it’s been three weeks since my last newsletter, but life has a way of getting in the way and eating up time far too quickly. Also, my man has been working his butt of and hasn’t had the time or the energy to set up my newsletter to get to all of you.

What Have I Been Reading?
I’ve just finished reading Paige Tyler’s Wolf Hunger (SWAT Book 7).
Reading about the conflict and attraction between Max Lowry and Lana Mason kept me riveted from the first page to the last.
If you like paranormal, wolf shifter romance stories then this is definitely for you.
I will leave it there for now.
Enjoy your week ahead, until next week.
Love,
Becca Van XXOO
