How I enjoy The Simplicity Of A Drive In The Countryside. | Becca Van Erotic Romance

Rambling On… 23 August 2019

Last weekend my man and I went for a drive. It was too cold for me to get on the back of his motorbike.

With no real destination in mind, my man just drove. We talked and listened to music and when our stomachs started grumbling telling us it was time for lunch, we stopped to eat at a pub in the town of Lismore, in Victoria. The pub was old and a bit dilapidated and I was a bit wary of what the food would be like, but it was delicious.

I had a chicken mornay crepe with vegetables and my man had chicken breast stuffed with something, but I can’t remember what. I do know his food was loaded with garlic. I’m kind of jealous that he can eat onion and garlic with no adverse effects. I do miss those flavours but since those two ingredients, in particular, make me sick I avoid them at all costs.

After lunch, we headed toward Beaufort. Beaufort is a pretty little town on a lake I would love to visit again. Since we brought a flask of hot water as well as mugs, tea and coffee with us, we found a picturesque spot to park and sipped on our drink while listening to the bird chirping away in the trees.

We then drove toward Ballarat, which was once a gold mining town, then headed back home. Since we’d had lunch out and were still quite full, neither of us wanted or ate dinner.

I’m not sure what or if we’ll be doing anything this coming weekend, but I do know that the best day is going to be Saturday. It’s supposed to be 18 degrees C even if rain is expected later in the day. Sunday is going to be wet and cold with a top temperature of 13 degrees C, but I can deal with that since the weather is showing signs of the coming spring.

I just hope we get more sunshine and higher temperatures in September when me and my hubby will be away from home and camping in our tent for two weeks.

Keep your fingers crossed.

I hope you all have a great weekend.

Stay safe, healthy and happy.

What Have I Been Writing?

I’m writing Pack Law 9 which I haven’t even managed to title yet. I have just over a week to finish this book which is my September quota and though I’m on track, I’m feeling a bit weary.

I’ve worked hard over the last two months pounding on my keyboard and trying to get three books out within two months. I’ve even worked a couple of days on the weekends to reach my goal.

As the deadline I set myself looms closer, the more tired I’m getting, but all the work will be worth it in the end.

It doesn’t help that I’ve been having trouble getting restful sleep either, but thems the breaks.

What Have I Been Reading?

I’m three quarters of the way through Melissa Foster’s Wild Boys After Dark: Logan (Wild Billionaires After Dark Book 1).

I’m really liking this book and was lucky enough to purchase this book for free, but I have to say even if it wasn’t, I would have still bought it.

Logan Wild is a retired SEAL turned PI and when he finds out Stormy “Stella” Knight is in danger he vows to keep her safe. The sparks between the pair is off the charts hot and I can’t wait till I’ve finished reading this book. I know the crescendo coming will be worth the wait.

I will leave it there for now.
Enjoy your week ahead, until next week.

Love,

Becca Van XXOO
