Holidays Delayed 😢 – My Rant…

Rambling On… 16 July 2021.

We Can’t Go on holiday. F#@*ing Covid and Stupid people have stuffed things up for two states other than their own.

We were put into a snap, hard lockdown late Thursday night because the virus is on the spread again thanks to the three arsehole removalists who travelled from Covid hotspots in Sydney through Victoria to Melbourne, Geelong, my hometown, to South Australia. When they stopped to have breaks, two of the men didn’t wear masks and since they were positive, they spread the virus to other people, and it was off.

My husband and I are devastated since we’ve been preparing and planning for this trip for just over six months. I know we’re not the only people who’ve had their plans stuffed up thanks to the virus and or people not doing the right thing.

The Australian government appears to have put all their vaccination eggs into one basket, the AstraZeneca because it’s able to be made locally. For all the promise of ordered vaccination varieties from the Northern Hemisphere, extremely limited supplies have come to this country causing our extremely low vaccination rates because of low inoculation stocks.

If only the people who run this country would have pulled their heads out of their arses and did what’s right for the people, providing adequate vaccines to inoculate the population who want to be protected, instead of sitting on their hands and relying on the golden goose.

Anyone would think the officials were lining their own pockets with such bias and blinkered vision.

New South Wales has been locked down for three weeks and are not looking to be set free for another month or more.

Victoria is in the commencement of a five-day snap lockdown to halt the NSW virus leak and spread.  Potentially to be extended for who knows how long.

Queensland, South Australia (SA), Western Australia (WA), have all closed their state borders to infectious states.
So much for free travel or freedom full stop.

Herd vaccination is the only solution but until vaccinations are to be made available, this country is screwed. So many small businesses have gone bankrupt. So many are struggling financially, unable to work.

Enough is enough.

Get those serums here now so the people of Australia can get back to a semblance of normality.

I finished writing Alaska Wildlands 5: Wildfire late last week. I worked hard to complete the book so my man and I could have our vacation, which unfortunately is no more.

I’ve already sent this story to Siren BookStrand and signed the contract for publication. I don’t know as yet what date the publication will be.

What Have I Been Reading?

I finished reading Trusting Molly (Silverstone Book 3) by Susan Stoker. As usual, I was engrossed from the first page to the last.

Mark “Smoke” Chamberlin and Molly Smith’s story was full of action and romance. I enjoyed this story immensely and would recommend it.

I will leave it there for now.
