Happy Anniversary Sweetheart 😍🎉 32 Years!!! | Becca Van Erotic Romance

Happy Anniversary Sweetheart 😍🎉 32 Years!!!

Rambling On… 17 September 2021.

I wanted to say Happy 32nd Anniversary to my husband.

He is my best friend, my rock, my confidante, and the love of my life. Though we’ve been married for 32 years, we’ve actually been together for 35 years. I can’t believe I’m saying that. It makes me feel so old. We’ve been through a lot of ups and downs but here we are just over three decades later and still going strong.

I so wish we could’ve gone on our dream trip driving to the top end of Australia, had that five weeks off we planned to so we could relax, explore, rejuvenate, and enjoy. However, we’re going to go next year.
We were lucky enough to sneak in a week of holiday time between lockdowns, but it didn’t feel long enough.

We’re all so emotionally tired, over Covid, being shut up in our homes on and off for over a year, not being able to see our families or go anywhere. I have no idea what lockdown number we’re up to because I don’t want to keep count. I think I last heard we’d been in lockdown 6.2. Why don’t the powers that be just call it number 8 instead of the point 1 and 2? They’re not fooling anyone.

Most parts of regional Victoria have had restrictions eased but who knows for how long.
I can’t remember the last time I was able to see my daughter face to face, give her a hug and tell her I love her. It’s not the same on video calls.

The last nine or more months of being in and out of Covid lockdowns could have been avoided if our Prime Minister and his cronies had ordered the vaccines in June 2020 when they were contacted by companies who made the serums overseas. So bloody short-sighted.
Did greed play a part in the decision to not look at options and serums from other countries? Was it a case of you pat me on my back and I’ll pat you on yours? I’d really like to know the reason our federal government was relying only on AstraZeneca.

Sorry for the ranting but we’ve had enough.
So many businesses have gone bankrupt, people have lost their jobs and also their lives due to the mental stress of all this continuing crap. Suicide statistics have risen as has domestic violence. This makes me so sad because some of this could have been avoided if the vaccines had been brought in last year. The majority of our population would have been vaccinated and there wouldn’t have been any need for the continuation of lockdowns.

On another note.
We still haven’t mapped out what we’re going to do with our garden, but I want to get the ball rolling.

First, we have to cut down the trees, pull out the roses, weeds and replace the back fence and at least one side fence. We want to do all three sides but it’s going to depend on whether all our neighbours agree since they’re supposed to go halves with us.

If we’re going to make a stream and pond, it would be better to replace the fence first which will make my man’s job much easier. If there’s nothing in the way, he won’t have to move things or climb over things to put our new fence up. Then we can start on the garden.

He’s booked out until the beginning of November, and I’ve asked him to slot us in after his last listed client. Again, we first need approval from all our neighbours before we can proceed.

If they don’t, I’m not sure what we’ll do.
This picture shows what a mess the rear garden bed is and why we need to do something about it.

I hope you are all well.
Have a great weekend.
Stay safe, sane, happy, and healthy.
Love Becca Van xxoo.

What Have I Been Reading?

Ruthless Stranger Ebook Cover

I’m 58% through Ruthless Stranger: A Mafia Stranger to Lovers Romance (Mafia Wars Book 1) by Maggie Cole.

I purchased this book for free on Amazon and was hooked. I didn’t want to put it down and sleep, but I knew if I didn’t, I’d struggle to get through the next day.

I can’t wait until my workday is over because, after dinner, I’m picking up my Kindle so I can finish this story.

There are dark elements to the hero, but I couldn’t help but like him since he treats the heroine like a princess, will do anything to protect her and keep her safe.

I will leave it there for now.
Enjoy your week ahead, until next week.

Love,

Becca Van XXOO
