Cross Your Fingers and Toes – 🤗
Rambling On… 6th November 2020.
Sorry, again for not sending out a newsletter last week. Hubby is so damned tired by the end of the week he’s falling asleep on the couch after eating dinner. If he does so again tonight, Friday, I’ll have to wake him up after a short nap and hope he’s rejuvenated enough to do his internet magic to send this letter to you all. (ps, I didn’t have a nap…lol)
He’s amazing for helping me out with stuff I have no clue about.
We got some wonderful news yesterday.
My daughter, Jess, called to let me know she’d be coming down on Tuesday next week as she has a job interview and she’s staying the night. She’s also bringing her partner and her fur baby, Max who is a tawny coloured King Charles Cavalier. It will be wonderful, and I am so looking forward to having them all here.
I’m so excited that she’s been applying for jobs in my hometown and is planning to move away from the outer south-eastern suburbs of Melbourne to be closer to her family again. Thankfully, the lockdown restrictions which have been in effect preventing anyone living in Melbourne and the surrounding suburbs from going more than five kilometres away from home will be no longer as of midnight Sunday night. There hasn’t been a new Covid-19 case for seven days in a row and there haven’t been any deaths. The aged care facilities are now all clear and the last I heard there were only 20 active cases of the virus still in play and those people and their families are self-isolating. It’s great that everyone is finally doing all they can to eradicate the spread of this dreaded virus.
This means I get to see my girl again. I haven’t seen her for six long months, and I can’t wait to give her a hug and tell her face to face how much I love her and missed her.
She’s excited too but is trying to not get her hopes up too much just in case she doesn’t get the job and isn’t too disappointed. However, I have faith in her because from what she was saying, the job is similar to what she was doing before. She does a lot of brake disc machining as well as services and repairs on cars and such.
I’m keeping my fingers crossed and hope that she finally gets the job she wants and deserves after working so hard.
She can’t wait to move back closer to home and get out of Melbourne. Apparently, there are a lot of people looking to relocate after the Covid-19 transmission fiasco which is great for regional communities, because even though there are a lot of people struggling financially thanks to the virus and are out of work, the housing market in sales and rentals in regional Victoria is booming.
I love Melbourne but I’m glad I no longer live there with the strict restrictions that Melbournians had to adhere to for so long. That doesn’t mean I don’t feel for everyone living there because I do. I have a lot of friends in the Melbourne suburbs as well as my daughter.
Regional Victoria had fewer cases of COVID-19 and lighter restrictions. While I don’t think this virus will ever be totally eradicated, there’s no longer a fear of the hospitals being overrun with sick patients and not being able to cope because the numbers are not in the hundreds anymore. There’s also light at the end of the tunnel for a vaccine according to our PM which could be in production by Christmas. However, from what I remember the serum may not be due out to the general public until the end of next year.
I hope you all have a great weekend.
Stay safe, happy, sane, and healthy.

What Have I Been Writing?
I’ve started writing Beautifully Imperfect book 7. I’m still getting to know my characters and I’m not sure where the plot is going yet. I had an idea in mind but when I started writing this story it began completely different to what I’d had planned.
It will be interesting to see how Selina Justice and the Winthrop brothers, Woody, Ravi, and Rider will interact and how they get their happily ever after.
Oh, you might also want to know that I submitted Slick Rock 30: Loving Arms to my publisher at the end of last month and they’ve agreed to publish my book. Thanks, Siren BookStrand.

What Have I Been Reading?
I’ve just finished reading Kris Michaels Dixon (The Kings of Guardian Book 12). I really loved reading about the hero and heroine and the things they did to overcome adversity.
I have quite a few of Ms. Michaels books on my TBR pile and decided it was time to read another in this fantastic series.
I will leave it there for now.
Enjoy your week ahead, until next week.
Love,
