Camping Revival Weekend 🏕️
Rambling On… 29 October 2021.
Hi everyone, when you get this newsletter, my man and I will be away for a long weekend.
We’re really tired and need another short break. With the pandemic, the long, seemingly never-ending lockdowns, we’re emotionally wrung out from riding the roller coaster for so long.
We think, hopefully, our lockdowns are finally over but we’re definitely not going to hold our breath. My husband is very tired since his job is so physically taxing and to be honest mentally, we’ve all had enough. Hence the decision to go away for another short break.
Next year, if all goes well, we’re planning to take the five-week trip we couldn’t do this year. We’re still planning to travel from way down south up to the top end of Australia to Darwin, but when we do that, I don’t know. Maybe in late April or early May.
Everyone here is struggling but my heart goes out to my daughter the most.
She’s endured nearly a whole year of being locked down, and just as the restrictions were beginning to ease, one of her work colleagues ended up with Covid. Everyone who works there had to go into two weeks of isolation so they wouldn’t spread the virus. My daughter has had two tests so far and they’ve both been negative. Thankfully.
Her boss wasn’t so lucky. He and the idiot who went to work after being tested and not isolating before he had the results are going to be in isolation for longer.
My daughter will be free on Sunday so maybe the following weekend we can finally see each other. I can’t wait to give her a hug.
Anyway, me and hubby are packing up and heading north to the Murray River again, where it’ll be warmer. At least we hope it will.
We’re planning on going to a camping spot we’ve never been to before. The photos we saw looked nice, but if that place doesn’t pan out, there are several more camping sites close by we can go to.
My son is looking forward to us going away to so he and his girlfriend who visits on the weekends will have the house to themselves for a change.
It’s a win for all of us to have time away from each other.
I hope you are all well.
Have a great weekend.
Stay safe, sane, happy, and healthy.

What Have I Been Reading?
I’m only 40% into the story, but so far, I’m loving it. Cake: A love Story Series Novel by J. Bengtsson.
The chemistry between rockstar Jake and Casey is off the charts. Casey has a great sense of humour and knows how to get Jake to laugh. I can’t wait to read the rest of this story.
I don’t know if I’ll finish it tonight, but I’ll give it my best. Depends on whether I can keep my eyes open long enough to read the rest of the book.
I will leave it there for now.
Enjoy your week ahead, until next week.
Love,
Becca Van XXOO
