Let’s Hope This Year Is Way Better Than The Last.

Happy New Year Everyone!

Let’s hope this year is way better than the last.

It’s great to see my son so happy with his new girl and even better is that we all like her.

He’s just been made a permanent employee for the club he’s been casual at for over two years and is ecstatic. This means he gets paid sick and holiday leave and when he’s ready to buy another house after he’s saved up more money, he’ll be looked on more favourably from a bank’s perspective.

My daughter has settled well into her new job but is still looking for somewhere to live. She’s been to umpteen places to see if they are where she wants to live but so far, no joy. She’s exhausted by the end of the week since she was out of work for over six months and is in her words, sore as f$%# since her muscles and body are still adjusting to hard, heavy work.

She’s driving for just over two hours every Friday night after dinner to head back home to her partner and her fur babies, doing chores all weekend then heading back here on Sunday afternoon to work all week again.

We’re all helping to look for homes for her to rent but so far, the places she’s looked at haven’t been up to par. We’re hoping she finds something soon, so she doesn’t have to travel so much on the weekends and be so tired before starting her work week again.

My hubby even asked a client he’s been working for as they deal in properties and she was wonderful saying she’d ask around and keep an ear out.

My mans booked out until mid-March and though he had days off between Christmas and New Year, we spent them at home. We’re planning to have the last week of February to go away somewhere. Unless we need to help my daughter and her partner move.

I can’t wait. I hope you are all well and safe.

What Have I Been Writing?

I decided to write another Pack Law book this month, thanks to Marcia for asking if I would be writing more in this series.

I’ve really only just started because I was umming and ahhing over what to write next. Marcia’s question came at just the right time and gave me the inspiration I needed after a break over Christmas and the new year to get my creative juices flowing.

I have my characters’ names and they’re starting to gel but that’s about it so far. I have a potential plot in mind, but things could change as my characters lead me the way they want me to go.
