How Do You Prepare For Christmas?
Anxiety Before The Festivities 🎅
Rambling On… 04 December 2021.
If all goes according to plan, tomorrow hubby and I will be taking Friday off to do some Christmas shopping. As you’re all aware I hate crowds, have panic attacks if I’m surrounded by too many people.
So, if my man finishes his job, today—I’m writing this newsletter on Thursday just in case we get home too late tomorrow night, and I don’t have time—we’ll be spending Friday at the shops when hopefully most people are at work.
I have no idea what I’m going to buy, but I know as soon as I see something it will hit me between the eyes on who the gift will suit and be perfect for.
We don’t buy much as we give our kids cash so they can buy what they want or to help them out since the cost of living is so expensive and just seems to keep going up and up. I know inflation is a problem worldwide after the pandemic since there seems to be a shortage of everything after all the lockdowns and closed borders.
However, I do like for them to have a couple of small things to unwrap and of course some gag gifts for their stockings.
I’m looking forward to spending more time with my daughter especially since we’ve only managed to catch up once after she was released from the longest lockdown ever.
It will be great to have a fun day, to hug my kids and their partners and tell them all I love them.
I also have to figure out what to buy my girl for her birthday on New Year’s Eve.
We didn’t plan it, but both of my children were born the day before a public holiday. That means we can get together, have a couple of drinks, and not worry about having to get up early and get to work.
We don’t overindulge but it’s really nice that everyone doesn’t have to rush off to get back home.
I hope you all have a great weekend and an enjoyable week ahead.
Stay safe, sane, happy, and healthy.

What Have I Been Writing?
I’m writing the third instalment of my Slave Gold Elite series.
So far so good and I’m further along in this book than I expected to be which is great.
If I finish writing this story early that will leave me free to spend time with my kids and family over Christmas and maybe my man and I will be able to get away for a short break too since he’s having to take 2 weeks off.
Only time will tell.
What Have I Been Reading?
Last night, since it was hot after such cold temperatures over spring, I couldn’t sleep.
Because I couldn’t sleep I stayed up till the wee hours of the morning reading, Tess Thompson’s Traded: Brody and Kara (Cliffside Bay Book 1)
I liked this book, but I feel the end was wrapped up a bit too quickly. That doesn’t mean the story wasn’t good because it was. Maybe it was me and I was tired, but I just thought there should have been a bit more depth to the ending.
All the threads were finished, and it was still an enjoyable read. If you like some spice in your books then this isn’t for you as it was a sweet clean romance.
I will leave it there for now.
Enjoy your week ahead, until next week.
