Have You Been Caught In The Wordle Craze?? ?‍?

Rambling On… 04 February 2022.

The game Wordle seems to have become a craze.

My kids and my son’s girl and I started playing this game this week and we’re posting our results in a group messenger chat room my son created.

There has been a lot of banter back and forth as well as teasing. I decided it would be a good idea to get one over on my son, so after playing the game this morning and getting the right word in three tries, I sent the answer to my daughter in a message and told her to get the word in two tries, which she did.

My son and his girl were miffed that my daughter had won—not really—but they didn’t know that for about two seconds. Since my son and his girl were here and could see my face they knew almost immediately that I’d helped my daughter cheat.

I’m terrible and couldn’t keep a straight face if you paid me. I laugh when I’m nervous and can never remain stoic. As my husband says, I’m pretty much an open book.

But it was all good and we had a few laughs and that’s all that counts.

My man is struggling to juggle jobs, not because he doesn’t have work, but he can’t get reliability in supplies. He has months of work lined up.

I know I’ve said this before, but there is a shortage of wood, building and fencing supplies.

My man has had two Colourbond Steel fences ordered and paid for since Early December but only one of them was delivered to the supply store here today.

Hubby is spending a lot of time at night contacting customers to tell them he’s still waiting for his orders to come in, as well as scrambling to have other jobs fill in the void left by these supply shortages. Thankfully, they’ve been understanding.

We know that COVID is part of the reason for the material shortage since people are in isolation, so manufacturing has slowed as has the transportation of stuff. Everyone is in the same boat but it’s concerning and disconcerting not being able to tell clients when their fences will be built.

Hopefully, things will ramp up again soon and the shortage will be over, but we’ll have to wait and see. Looks like he is going to have a bumpy year if this doesn’t iron itself out.

Stay safe, sane, happy, and healthy.

What Have I Been Writing?

I’ve started to write Slick Rock 36. This book is about the new motel owners, Stanford, Norton, and Donal Germain. The mistakes they’ve made and how they’re trying to redeem themselves to the woman they love.

So far it’s been a rocky road but hopefully things will work out for everyone involved in the end.

Last month I finished writing Slave Gold Elites 4: Destiny. Siren BookStrand have agreed to publish my story. Thanks Siren.

What Have I Been Reading?

The Baby Maker (The Hunter Brothers Book 1) by Lili Valente

I just finished reading the first book in a trilogy by K. Webster called Stroke of Midnight: A Cinderella Novel, (Cinderella Trilogy Book 1).

I can’t say I liked everything in this book. The kinky stuff the hero and heroine get up to isn’t my cup of tea and I’m definitely not into humiliation.

However, the premise of the story is intriguing and because it caught my attention and this book finished on a cliff hanger, I bought the next instalment in the series. However, be aware there could be triggers for some people in the story.

I will leave it there for now.
Enjoy your week ahead, until next week.

Love,

Becca Van XXOO
