Chores Before Fun. ? I Hope.
Rambling On… 02 July 2021.
It’s tax time here in Australia.
The end of our financial year ends on June 30. Because hubby and I want to go away we’re going to be busy this weekend compiling all our expenses and other stuff we need to submit our tax to the accountant.
It will probably take us all day Saturday and maybe some of Sunday to get everything in order. My man uses book-keeping software that keeps all his records, totals his expenses, and such so hopefully, once he justifies the accounts all he has to do is email the files to the accountant.
We have up till the end of September to submit our tax to the Australian Tax Office, but this year we’re doing our tax as quickly as possible. We want it done so we don’t have that chore hanging over our heads while we’re away.
Since it’s winter here and the virus likes cold weather, we’ve had more outbreaks spreading through communities. Darwin, which is in the most northern part of the Northern Territory, has also been touched by the pandemic. That’s where my man and I are heading, but we’re not sure now.
Darwin is currently in lockdown and though the word is out that the lockdown will be ending maybe tonight or over the weekend, we’re going to have to watch the news, keep up with things in case lockdown reoccurs. We don’t want to be stuck in isolation on our holiday.
However, no matter what happens, we’ve decided we’re still going away. Where we go depends on the pandemic spread. We will need to fly by the seat of pants and wing it. Last weekend my husband and I sat down to work out a tentative itinerary which isn’t set in concrete.
We might be travelling on a wing and a prayer, but we are fortunate enough to have the opportunity to still go on vacation. I was hoping my man and I could get the second of our Covid vaccination before we travelled, but after making a phone call, I was told we have to wait the full twelve weeks before we can get our second jab. Each inoculation serum is different and has different time lengths for when allowed to have the second injection.
Never mind, I tried.
My daughter hasn’t been well. Not sick, but not right. She’s very tired all the time.
After going to the doctors and having a full blood workup done, it was discovered she is very deficient in vitamin B. Apparently, this is because of her coeliac disease. She’s now on folic acid which will help her body absorb vitamin B. She has to go back to the doctor each week for a while to get vitamin B injections.
I wish I could give her a hug, but she’s been busy working and we haven’t seen each other for a while.
Anyway, I’m just rambling again. I’ll stop now.
I hope you’re all staying safe.
Have a great weekend.
Stay safe, sane, happy, and healthy.

What Have I Been Writing?
I’m writing Alaskan Wildlands 5. I’m working hard to this story completed before the end of the third week in July, so hopefully, my man and I can have a vacation.
Brothers Perry and Adam Nevin, as well as their cousin Bruce Nevin, grizzly bear shifters, have found their mate and are trying to convince Tayla Gibson to be their one.
What Have I Been Reading?
I’m three quarters of the way through reading Christine Feehan’s Spider Game (GhostWalker novel Book 12). I like the story so far.
Love that Cayenne stands up to Trap when she needs to but also gives him what he wants, lets him be the dominant man he needs to be.
I can’t wait to finish the book and start on the next.
I will leave it there for now.
Enjoy your week ahead, until next week.
