As The World Turns, The Weather Changes ☀️⛅⛈️?
Rambling On… 28 August 2020.
Not much has been happening on the home front here in Victoria, Australia. Hence the weather talk.
We’re at the end of a long, cold winter and heading into spring. Today is absolutely gorgeous with the sun shining and though it’s only about 17 degrees C, I’ve got the windows and doors open and have even sat outside in the sunshine a few times when taking a break.
I’ve also stripped my bed and done other laundry since it’s a great drying day.
Tomorrow is supposed to be even better with an expected top temperature of around 21 deg C. Maybe some gardening is in order to get the benefit of some Vitamin D.
My man has had a light week which I think is great since he’s been so tired. He actually took today off to enjoy the benefits of a three-day weekend.
This came about since he finished a job yesterday and if he’d started another today, his client would’ve ended up with no fence for the weekend after the old one was demolished. I said to hubby to just take the Friday off and start again on Monday. He jumped at the chance.
His job is very physically taxing, and he’s been going for weeks on end with only Sunday off on the weekends. I told him enough was enough and he agreed.
I haven’t died my hair for a while and am thinking about doing so over the weekend. Not that it takes long, but I want a bit of a pick me up. I have dark brown hair which is starting to turn to a salt and pepper colour. I’m not sure which dye I’m going to choose this time. I usually pick a mahogany colour or just dark brown.
Decisions, decisions… lol.
I also might do some baking over the weekend. I haven’t spent a day in the kitchen for a long time because I’m usually working.
My hubby has a sweet tooth as does my daughter. Though I like sweet things sometimes, I prefer savoury. My son takes after me and prefers savoury too.
I’m thinking about making an apple pie and a golden fruit loaf cake which has golden syrup in it, similar to maple syrup and sultanas.
I think some spinach, bacon and cheese muffins are in order, too.
I hope you are all safe with all those fires going on over in the States as well as the hurricane down in the south of the US. Plus, the dreaded virus.

What Have I Been Writing?
I’ve just finished writing Pack Law 11: Hungry Wolves today and have just this minute sent if off to Siren BookStrand for possible publication. I really enjoyed writing Cindy’s story and how she interacts with Tyrone, Coby, and Derik Daniels.
Let’s hope that BookStrand like it enough to publish it.

What Have I Been Reading?
I finished reading Jayne Castel’s The Beasts Bride, (The Brides of Skye Book 1) which I was lucky enough to purchase for free. I enjoyed this historical romance.
I was able to connect with the characters but thought at first Rhona was a little shallow since she couldn’t seem to see beyond her Hero’s appearance. I won’t tell you anymore because I don’t want to give anything away in case some of you want to read this story. Suffice it to say there was a happy ending for the main characters.
I will leave it there for now.
